Mosquitoes

With wetlands, rivers, and warm summers, mosquitoes are a major nuisance in WA. These pests not only cause irritating bites but also pose health risks by spreading viruses such as Ross River and Barmah Forest. Mosquitoes breed in standing water and are especially active during dawn and dusk, making outdoor activities unpleasant and potentially unsafe.
